I regularly check a website called Pappy’s Golden Age Comics Blogzine. It is always a treat, but special attention needs to be paid to the story posted the other day, a titanic tale called “Mail Rider to the Stars.”

First of all, there’s the important detail that the lead character gets to cruise the spaceways in this sweet ride:

Who wouldn’t want to take the intergalactic civil service exam when the result could be getting the keys to that beauty. I think I want to paint the words SPACE MAIL on the top of my Corolla.

Further, as someone who’s repeatedly expressed a keen interest in the scientific accomplishments of the daring denizens of four-color adventures, I especially admire the intricate controls used to pilot the craft.
