I have only the tiniest sliver of interest in World Cup soccer, but I have to admit that this Nike commercial is sort of astounding.
Mostly, I just marvel at how much this thing must have cost to put together.

You had to get a response from me…a soccer junkie. I can tell you that Nike had to shell out a large chunk of change for the amount of soccer stars that are in this commercial. It has every current soccer ambassador there is! C’mon Seeg, you’ve watched at least ONE soccer game in your life…right??? This June is your chance to again see the beauty of this game!!
Otherwise it is a great chance to see the hot Brazilian female fans!!!
I do like how they used “Hocus Pocus” as the music to this commercial!!
Even though I don’t recognize the soccer stars, there are a lot of other famed individuals who I do recognize–Roger Federer, Kobe Bryant, Gael Garcia Bernal, Homer J. Simpson–who I know required handsome checks with a swoosh in the upper left hand corner. It’s an amazing procession, even if (especially if?) you just consider the cost of the spot.
We’ll be watching the World Cup in our household. I promise you that, number nineteen.
