Sometimes comedy illuminates hard truths with a pointed urgency that other means can’t quite achieve. Sometimes comedy is just funny. This series of posts is mostly about the former instances, but the latter is valuable, too.

Many comic performers are brave, but few reach taunting-an-arena-full-of-Slipknot-fans levels of bravery. The program Late Night with Conan O’Brien proved that the Slipnutz might be the bravest of them all.
