Uncut Gems by Joshua Hunt
The first DVD I ever bought was Criterion Collection edition no. 65, Wes Anderson’s Rushmore. Around that time, I had an inkling that maybe I should commit to buying every DVD the company released. He also details the painstaking work that goes into their preservation of some of the greatest works in the medium that were is desperate danger of being lost forever or at least preserved in only compromised versions. This article is genuinely inspiring to me.
