Sometimes all I need is a big, chunky indie rock song built on simple, striking guitar licks that hearkens back to the glorious heyday of the likes of Meat Puppets, Soul Asylum, and Eleventh Dream Day. I can often count of Cloud Nothings to swoop in and save the day when that craving overcomes me. “Running Through the Campus,” their new single, does exactly that.

Final Summer, the new album from Cloud Nothings, is scheduled for release in April.
