Outside Reading — National Disgrace edition

I’ve been disappointed by other Election Days. This week was the first time I was appalled.

Even more than in 2016, when the popular vote was a repudiation of the electoral college’s faulty outcome and when the victor wasn’t yet a convicted felon and court-proven rapist (though was already transparently a lifelong criminal and a deeply immoral human being), I am dismayed by the abdication of basic decency and sense that a huge swath of the electorate showed in making their selection. At best, the president-elect is a moronic chaos agent whose only care and mission to enrich and protect himself. He and the administration he will bring with him are poised and eager to do untold damage, and they will take particular glee in causing pain and misery to the people who are most vulnerable.

I could go on and on. Instead, I offer up the below articles that individually and collectively convey my ire and frustration.
