Australian band the Prize knows what their guitars and drum kit are for. On their new single, “From the Night,” the song grinds to life like a glorious meteorite of punky power pop from the Runaways, a comparison that only grows more apt when Nadine Muller’s vocals, all disaffected cool, kick in. The track pogoes forward to hit a chorus that sounds like the Ramones in their prime. It’s infectious and eardrum-rattling. I would like more of this, please and thank you.
