This was a good week for new pop songs that are sweet and slick. I was immediately enamored with the latest offerings from Jenny on Holiday, Opal Mag, and Avalon Emerson & the Charm. On any other given Friday, one of those could have claimed this spot that I reserve for the best new track of the week.

But, you know, come on.

This week also brought a new single from Robyn. It’s her first new solo music in seven years, and it’s a song she says she’s spent ten years perfecting. How could I select anything else?

“Dopamine,” the new cut, isn’t officially connected to a forthcoming album, at least not yet. There are rumors that a new Robyn album is complete. Let’s hope that’s true. We can use it.
