Beers I Have Known — pFriem Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout

This series of posts is dedicated to the many, many six packs, pony kegs and pints that have sauntered into my life at one point or another.

Back in the days when it was reasonable to move about the country, I found myself in an establishment that I quickly realized was one of the best breweries I’d ever encountered. Every glass that was brought to our table was filled with the most delicious potables. The only problem was that pFriem Family Brewers, the purveyors in question, were a long, long way from my home base. I took as much of their wares as my suitcases could carry, sadly knowing that restocking was going to be a rare opportunity.

But I have some very nice friends. As a holiday gift, our household was bestowed with a few special bottles and cans, including the pFriem Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout that I luxuriated in earlier this evening. I was reminded that magic can be bottled.
