The Art of the Sell — American Express, “One Hour Photo”

These posts celebrate the movie trailers, movie posters, commercials, print ads, and other promotional material that stand as their own works of art.

There are a lot of ills and injustices perpetrated by modern-day capitalism. I am aware of this. I am also pleased that that gears of the machine turn in such a way that it’s weirdly feasible for a major credit card company to build a commercial around the obsessive cinematic artistry of a top-tier film director whose hardly a major hitmaker.

Also, let this be the periodic reminder that Martin Scorsese is a very good actor.
