This Week’s Model — The WAEVE, “Broken Boys”

“Broken Boys,” the new single from the WAEVE, is appealingly caustic. The duo of Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall specializes in smart, scintillating pop music that fearlessly employs more aggressive soundscapes. The new track sounds like early industrial if repelling listeners wasn’t a plain goal of that subgenre’s foundational acts. It’s arresting, propulsive, and insinuating. You know, like any great single.

City Lights, the new album from the WAEVE, is scheduled for release in September.
