The Los Angeles-based band Jawdropped feel like they’re on the verge of greatness. Following a debut EP last year that generated a low but noticeable buzz, Jawdropped recently announced that they signed with Transgressive Records / Canvasback, putting them on the rosters of a couple key tastemaker labels. To commemorate their new home, they released the fantastic single “Monday.” Launching from a smartly smacking opening guitar riff the tune charges forward as a bright slab of power pop. Its hooks dig in and don’t let go. Then again, who would even want to escape a track this good?
