Stella Dunai is a singer-songwriter based out of Melbourne, Australia who splashes in the same indie-folk puddles as Laura Marling and Haley Heynderickx. The new single “Move on!’ is a fab example of what she can do. The music is lilting and prickly at the same time. It feels like the tune can jut off in a different direction at any point. The lyrics, sung with cool clarity by Dunai, get at finding one’s footing in a world of messy, uncertain emotions: “I’m just sick of watching and waiting/ Well now I’m not just talking, I’m yelling.” The track is a beauty.
