Every generation gets the Guided by Voices that they deserve, or so it seems. Twisted Teens are the latest band to make a claim on the kingdom of marvelously messy rock ‘n’ roll produced at the ludicrously prolific pace. They’ve already released two full-length albums while the 2026 calendar accurately hung on the wall, and a third is on the way. “Stalks,” from that forthcoming release, is noisy, fuzzy, catchy, and, to my mind, pretty irresistible.

The Holy Cross Tigers, the new album from Twisted Teens, is scheduled for release in November.
