Thanks for the trivia on Oh, Daddy. I never heard that in college on the radio, but you can bet I heard it in Disney World 🙂
It was always so weird to me when I heard songs like this in totally different contexts, like being piped in at theme parks. I recently heard a Bob Mould song coming over the speaker in our local grocery store and I was so disoriented I almost had to sit down.
Oh, I never heard it as ambient music, but cast members sure liked to play it for each other and at each other on mix tapes. yep, tapes, because it was that long ago and no one could burn CD’s yet 🙂
