Lime Garden have had a dandy year. They released their excellent sophomore album, Maybe Not Tonight, back in the spring and earned adoration from all the right corners of the cool kids’ music fandom. As 2026 edges towards its close, the U.K. quartet have one more little jewel to bestow on the listening public. The new single “Moving Target” is tingly, bright, and fiercely catchy as it bittersweetly recounts going head over heels for someone who’s about to move on to a different locale: “You can’t fall in love with a moving target/ I’ve seen this all before/ I know that you have to leave me, baby/ But that makes me want you more.” It’s utterly splendid.

“Moving Target” is available on Lime Garden’s Bandcamp page.
