There’s no getting around it, “Together Together,” the new song from the L.A. duo Mediocre, calls to mind Wet Leg. It has the wry, understated sense of humor, the easygoing but buoyant cadence, and the sense that they’re tapping in something distinctly of the moment in lyrics that ropes around the raggedy uncertainty of being a young person living in the world as it is now (“Hey, you/ With the really cool hair/ Do you want to be cool together”). It’s catchy and ingratiating as can be. That works dandy for me.
